Overview
Mike Cassar’s practice focuses on representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation matters across Michigan. He also counsels employers of all sizes on workplace safety and employment law matters.
Mike is a strong courtroom advocate for his clients. Because he is conscious of how extended litigation increases costs and may disrupt a client’s business, he works with every client to develop a strategy on how best to resolve a litigated case. Sometimes that requires an aggressive strategy that pushes a case to trial. Other times it leads to an expedited settlement.
Outside of the office, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and extended family. He enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking when weather permits. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Oakland Community College where he teaches business law, legal research, and legal writing.
Mike is a shareholder who splits time between the firm’s Southfield and Lansing offices.
