International law attorney Jean Schtokal was interviewed for a recent article by the Michigan Manufacturers Association (MMA). The article titled Supply Chain in the Age of COVID — and Beyond, discusses the recent devastating effects that circumstances including the COVID-19 pandemic, have had on worldwide supply chains.
In a section of the article, Schtokal discusses the effects of the escalating tensions between the U.S. and China: “Regarding supply chain issues, manufacturers have had to deal with the double whammy of COVID-19, plus all the tariffs associated with U.S./China tensions. When supply stops or becomes untenable, manufacturers have had to show flexibility in finding new suppliers and customers.”
