Foster Swift attorney Laura Genovich will be presenting a webinar entitled Property Tax Exemptions: What Every Assessor Needs to Know on Wednesday September 20, 2017, at 12:00 p.m.

This one hour program will cover Michigan property tax exemptions from A (Agricultural) to Z (Zoos), explaining the factors that local units must consider when granting or denying an exemption, as well as common mistakes that can result in tax appeals.  In addition, the webinar will also discuss in depth the Michigan Supreme Court’s recent decision concerning exemptions for charitable institutions, Baruch SLS, Inc v Tittabawassee Township, and what assessors need to do differently as a result of that decision.
