The Michigan Chamber asked Melissa Jackson and Mike Blum to speak on Effective Human Resource Record Keeping. Melissa spoke in Lansing on January 19, 2016 and Mike spoke in Novi on January 21, 2016. Some of the topics will include: writing a job description to identify the essential functions; practice rules for employment applications; necessary hiring documentation; cross-referencing training records and performance evaluations; documenting discipline; attendance issues; documenting a layoff decision and an employee separation clearance checklist.
