Notable Representation

  • Tried and prevailed in Massachusetts federal court on a complex contractual dispute between traders / consolidators of renewable energy commodities. At trial, Judge Patti Saris awarded the client all damages sought, attorneys’ fees, and interest. Skyview Fin. Co. v. Kearsarge Trading, LLC; Civil Action 20-cv-11666-PBS.
  • Successfully defended a New Jersey solar energy project developer in a sophisticated commercial dispute against its counterparty for the purchase of solar commodities. The arbitration proceeding resulted in a zero judgment for the opposing party, and recovery of all of the client's arbitration costs.
  • Defended preeminent terminal company in multi-plaintiff catastrophic personal injury case arising out of an explosion at a Houston refinery. Shortly after filing a Motion for Summary Judgment, the matter settled favorably for the client.
  • Secured complete dismissal of all claims against clients in four distinct forums related to an alleged breach of a licensing agreement. During arbitration, plaintiffs voluntarily withdrew their claims subsequent to the tribunal's favorable ruling on the choice of law issue, following comprehensive briefing.
  • Obtained injunctive relief for victims of investment fraud schemes in two separate proceedings, which drew the attention of the Texas Securities Board and FBI, respectively, and led to the arrests and indictments of the defendants in each case.
  • Presented arguments before the City of Houston Planning Commission, addressing significant opposition, and successfully advocated for the removal of the client's property from the proposed zoning.
