Shareholder Lincoln Chen Accepted Into Institute for Energy Law’s 2025-2026 Leadership Class

(HOUSTON – July 15, 2025)Lincoln Chen, shareholder in Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Commercial Litigation practice in Houston, has been selected to join the Institute for Energy Law’s (IEL) Leadership Class for 2025–2026.

The Institute for Energy Law at The Center for American and International Law aims to provide superior educational and professional opportunities for lawyers and other professionals in the energy industry through educational courses, conferences, scholarly publications, and membership activities. Its Leadership Class is a highly selective program, designed to cultivate future leaders in the energy sector by enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills related to leadership, communication, diversity, and key developments within the industry.

Lincoln’s selection to IEL’s Leadership Class recognizes his experience in complex energy litigation across renewable and traditional energy sectors. Some of his notable representations include securing a multimillion-dollar award in international wind arbitration, achieving a complete trial victory with 100% damages plus fees in Massachusetts federal court for a renewable energy trader in SREC contract litigation, and obtaining a defense verdict with full cost recovery in solar commodity arbitration. Additionally, Lincoln successfully defended a major Houston marine terminal operator in catastrophic injury litigation following a facility explosion, leveraging sophisticated premises liability arguments to achieve favorable settlement terms. This recognition underscores Lincoln’s experience in navigating the intricate legal challenges facing today's evolving energy industry.
