Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce that the firm was recognized with two awards at the Ninth Annual Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Houston Deal of the Year Awards, held on April 22, 2026. Two deals led by Habeeb “Hobbs” Gnaim, chair of Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Business Services and Tax Planning Practice Groups, received the following awards:
- Business Services Deal of the Year Award, for representing Page in its sale to Stantec, creating the second-largest architecture firm in the United States and the largest integrated architecture and engineering firm in North America Other key members of the team included Umair Karowadia, Marianne Standley, Dave Pierson, Aly Dossa, Joshua Sutin, Jack Li, and William Cowan.
- Houston Impact Deal of the Year Award, for representing BWFS Industries in its transition and sale to JHBDMB Holdings, Inc., transforming the company into a 100% employee-owned company through an ESOP structure. Additional team contributors included Joshua Sutin, Matthew Stirneman, Marianne Standley, Umair Karowadia, Lauren Parker, Jack Najarian, and Jack Li.
Hosted annually by ACG Houston, the Deal of the Year Awards celebrate the most significant middle-market transactions in the Greater Houston area, recognizing the deals and dealmakers driving economic growth, innovation, and strategic impact.
In addition to its two award-winning transactions, Chamberlain Hrdlicka was named a finalist for five transactions across several categories, underscoring the depth and breadth of the firm’s transactional and tax capabilities. The firm’s continued recognition by ACG Houston highlights its leadership in complex M&A transactions and its commitment to delivering exceptional results for clients across industries.
