June 16, 2026 – Chamberlain Hrdlicka has earned two Deal of the Year honors at the 17th Annual International M&A Advisor Awards for its role advising Page Southerland Page, Inc. in its acquisition by Stantec Inc. The transaction was led by Habeeb “Hobbs” Gnaim, Chair of the firm’s Business Services and Tax Planning practice groups, who has advised Page for nearly 18 years and guided the company through this transformative transaction.

The transaction received awards in the following categories:

  • Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year
  • Cross Border Deal of the Year

The M&A Advisor is a globally recognized leader in connecting, recognizing, and informing professionals in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate finance. The International M&A Advisor Awards recognize the leading transactions, firms, and professionals whose work has set the standard for excellence in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and corporate finance. The awards celebrate organizations that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in executing complex and transformative deals.

The acquisition of Page by Stantec brought together two highly respected organizations with complementary strengths to create the second-largest architecture firm in the United States and the largest integrated architecture and engineering firm in North America, better positioning the combined organization to serve clients across an expanded geographic footprint and diverse range of markets.

The Chamberlain Hrdlicka transaction team was led by Habeeb "Hobbs" Gnaim and included attorneys Umair Karowadia, Marianne Standley, Dave Pierson, Aly Dossa, Joshua Sutin, Jack Li, and William Cowan. The team advised the client through the deal lifecycle, navigating the complexities associated with a cross-border deal of this magnitude and helping bring the acquisition to a successful close.

The dual recognition underscores Chamberlain’s continued strength in advising clients on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions, including complex domestic and cross-border transactions. These honors further build on the momentum of the firm's Business Services group in 2026, following multiple recognitions at the Annual USA and Global M&A Atlas Awards, two wins at the 9th Annual ACG Houston Deal of the Year Awards, and rankings in both The Legal 500 United States and the Chambers USA Guide. Together, these distinctions reflect the group's sustained achievement and growing national reputation in the middle-market M&A space.

Winners of the 17th Annual International M&A Advisor Awards were selected by an independent panel of industry experts and honored as part of the organization's annual celebration recognizing excellence and innovation within the global mergers and acquisitions community.
