In a recent article from Law360 Pulse, Product Liability co-chairs Brandon Cox and Bardia Sergent share more insight into their decision to join the firm and their goals for new opportunities.

"This is shaping a trend toward more early motion practice in cases and requires a strategic approach during discovery to succeed at the motions stage," Cox and Sergent said. "Looking ahead, we also expect to see continued pressure on manufacturers and distributors with respect to post-sale duties, recall-related litigation, and claims driven by regulatory developments. For companies, this means being proactive about risk-assessment, documentation, and litigation strategy early more than ever before."

The attorneys emphasized that their commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth aligns closely with the firm’s overall objectives.

"Our immediate focus is twofold: first, invest in talent by developing and mentoring lawyers who want to grow as trial lawyers and not just task-based contributors; and second, expand the firm's product liability capabilities across key industries, leveraging our experience and capabilities with greater flexibility and competitive rates that allow us to attract clients who traditionally viewed BigLaw — and BigLaw rates — as the only option for this level of expertise,” Cox and Sergent shared.
