Shutts & Bowen LLP Fort Lauderdale Associate Janeil A. Morgan presented to Take Stock in Children of Broward County’s “Top Ten Seniors” at the organization’s annual graduation ceremony on May 14, 2026.

The event recognized 29 students in its 2026 graduating class, all of whom are expected to pursue post-secondary education programs this fall. Through the Take Stock in Children program, the graduates collectively earned more than $500,000 in scholarships. In addition, the students earned a combined 259 college credits while still in high school, and 25% of the graduating class received Bright Futures Scholarships. The graduation ceremony was attended by students, families, mentors, staff, Board of Directors members, donors, and community partners.

Janeil currently serves on the Board of Directors of Take Stock in Children of Broward County.

About Janeil A. Morgan

Janeil A. Morgan is an Associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Government Law Practice Group. She focuses her practice on local government law, litigation, and procurement and administrative law. Her experience representing municipal agencies includes drafting human resource policies, resolutions and ordinances, public records and Florida’s Sunshine law/open government laws, as well as municipal code enforcement and land use and development regulations. Janeil has significant experience in litigation, including the foreclosure of municipal code enforcement liens and actions for declaratory and injunctive relief. Janeil also assists with internal investigations for public and not-for-profit organizations concerning employee grievances, ethics and code of conduct, discrimination and harassment matters, and litigation related to prosecuting municipal code enforcement liens. Janeil’s practice also focuses on the representation of businesses and governmental entities in administrative law, procurement disputes and bid protests.
