
Shutts & Bowen LLP Orlando Partner, Erik F. Szabo, recently presented on post-installation contract language at the annual Florida Solar and Storage Summit on May 8, 2026, at the Orange County Convention Center. The summit was presented by the Florida Solar Energy Industries Association.
Erik’s session titled “Contract Language for Post-Install Work Including Warranties and Service,” focused on legal considerations surrounding post-installation phases of solar projects, including contract structure, warranty terms and service agreements.
He was joined by speaker Bill Johnson, President of Brilliant Harvest. Together, they addressed common contractual issues that arise after solar system installations. The session was part of the summit’s broader agenda covering policy, business and technical developments in Florida’s solar and storage market.
The Florida Solar Energy Industries Association is a non-profit dedicated to protecting and promoting the widespread adoption of solar and storage through advocacy, education and information for contractors, homeowners, and legislators.
