Overview

Priyanka Timblo is a trial lawyer who represents clients in high-stakes commercial litigation and arbitration on both sides of the “v”.  She has secured eight-and nine-figure judgments on behalf of her clients, in bench and jury trials.  Bloomberg Law has recognized her as one of the top 40 lawyers under 40 nationwide, and Benchmark Litigation has called her a Future Star.

Priyanka has particular experience in antitrust and breach of contract disputes.  She has also handled securities class actions, internal investigations, and white-collar matters.  She is skilled at crafting case narratives, developing trial strategy from the outset of a case, and preparing and examining witnesses.   Clients have described her to Benchmark Litigation as “incredibly talented, driven, hungry, smart, dedicated, and hard working.”

Priyanka’s recent engagements include:

  • Co-lead trial counsel for London Luxury, winning a $101 million verdict against Walmart after a 10-day jury trial in the Western District of Arkansas, Fayetteville—one of the largest jury verdicts ever obtained in Arkansas.  Priyanka examined five of the witnesses, including the client’s CEO and four adverse witnesses. Her cross-examination of a key witness was covered in Reuters and Law360.  Priyanka was named AmLaw’s Litigator of the Week for the victory. The National Law Journal also named Brendon and Priyanka as finalists for the National Winning Litigators Award.
  • Co-lead counsel for Melody Business Finance, a hedge fund, in litigation against former hedge fund billionaire Philip Falcone, winning an award of $69.8 million—approximately 99% of the amount sought following a trial on damages.  Priyanka examined the key direct witness.
  • Lead counsel in a breach of contract arbitration on behalf of a financial services company, securing a complete victory following a hearing.  Priyanka examined the primary witnesses on direct and cross.
  • Counsel to Valassis Communications, a MacAndrews & Forbes company in a $600 million antitrust jury trial against News Corp. in the Southern District of New York.  Priyanka examined one of the three fact witnesses for the plaintiff.
  • Counsel to Visa in multi-district class action antitrust litigation filed on behalf of merchants, as well as in opt-out cases brought by the world’s largest retailers, challenging network rules benefitting all domestic cardholders.

Priyanka’s practice is particularly well-suited to disputes with an international component, as she is trained in both the common and civil law traditions. In her pro bono practice, she has led a civil rights case in Louisiana based on excessive force use, and successfully represented immigration clients at the Immigration Board of Appeals.

Priyanka brings to her practice special expertise in analyzing, pricing, and managing legal risk from her time as an investment professional at global legal finance and risk management company Omni Bridgeway. She previously was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and clerked for the Honorable Eileen Gillese and the Honorable Sarah Pepall of the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Priyanka is frequently sought as a speaker on antitrust issues.  For two years in a row, Priyanka has presented at the ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting, the world’s largest gathering of antitrust and competition lawyers. In 2023, she presented on a panel addressing cross-jurisdictional developments in antitrust class actions. In 2024 (in the same week she won the London Luxury verdict), she presented at the conference’s mock trial event.

At HSG, Priyanka is a member of the firm’s hiring committee, where she plays a lead role in hiring talent. She has also been heavily involved in the firm’s DEI and mentoring initiatives.
