Profile
Jonathan Williamson is an Associate in the Tax Controversy and Litigation Group in Chamberlain Hrdlicka's Atlanta office. His practice focuses on representing taxpayers at all stages of tax controversy from examination to appeals and litigation. Jonathan's experience involves defenses of deductions and credits and he has an interest in cases involving charitable contributions including conservation easements, ordinary and necessary business deductions, hobby loss, captive insurance companies, employee retention credits, 280E, personal use of business aircraft, and civil tax fraud.
Jonathan received his J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy. During his time in law school, Jonathan served the people of Florida as an intern for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. He also served the University of Florida Levin College of Law as a Levin Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. Jonathan has been a member of the First Appellate American Inn of Courts and the Gerald T. Bennett American Inn of Courts. Prior to joining the practice of law, Jonathan was involved in competitive debate for two decades as a competitor and coach, coaching state and national champions.
