Steven Knight obtains successful Texas Supreme Court ruling for Jimmy Changas

Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Appellate Practice led by Steven J. Knight secured an important Texas Supreme Court victory. In City of League City, Texas v. Jimmy Changas, the Texas Supreme Court affirmed the trial court’s decision, secured by Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s commercial litigation shareholders Larry Carbo and Kellen Scott, that the City is not immune from Jimmy Changas’ breach of contract claim because the incentives grant contract at issue did not involve a governmental function.
