Deal led by Habeeb ‘Hobbs’ Gnaim & Jarrod Martin Wins Professional Services Deal of the Year Award at 22nd Annual M&A Advisor Awards
The M&A Advisor named Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Houston-based team, led by Habeeb ‘Hobbs’ Gnaim, Practice Chair of the Tax Planning & Business Transactions Group and Jarrod Martin, Practice Chair for the Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor Rights Practice, winners of the Professional Services Deal of the Year Award (between $50 million - $100 million) for representing Page, a multidisciplinary design, architecture and engineering firm with international presence and a long-time client of Gnaim, in its acquisition of EYP, an interdisciplinary design firm specializing in higher education, government, healthcare, and science & technology. The deal previously won the USA M&A Atlas Award in the Distressed M&A Deal: Mid-market category.
Representing more than 400 participating companies, Awards finalists were judged by an independent panel of industry experts. Awards were presented at the 22nd Annual M&A Advisor gala held at The New York Athletic Club in New York City on November 15th, 2023 as part of the 2023 Future of Dealmaking Summit.

Gnaim, shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka, serves as the head of the Tax Planning & Business Transactions group. He focuses his practice on tax and corporate matters and has significant experience in all aspects of structuring, negotiating, and implementing business acquisitions and dispositions, corporate reorganizations, mergers, conversions, recapitalizations, deferred recognition transactions, admissions of and providing equity incentives for management and key employees, as well as choice of entity considerations, and state tax planning. Known for doing a high volume of transactions year to year, Gnaim has built a reputation as a go-to tax and corporate counsel for middle-market transactions. Earlier this year, Gnaim’s deals garnered recognition from other organizations, including the Association for Corporate Growth (Houston) and Global M&A Network.
Martin is a shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka, where he leads the firm’s bankruptcy practice group while maintaining a robust litigation practice in both federal and state courts. He has practiced in both federal and state courts across the country, including time at both the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, representing a variety of clients, including bankruptcy trustees, creditors, and corporate and high net-worth debtors, helping them through their bankruptcy and beyond. Recently, Martin and co-counsel were recognized by Litigation Daily for their representation of Sandy Hook Families in a lawsuit against Alex Jones and Free Speech Systems.
