Associates Added to Six Practice Groups
Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce the additions of Preston O. Eagan, Sita V. “Tori” Harrigill, Lauren L. Hollaway, Keegan V. McCaster, Charlsie E. Mann, Minakshi Swaminathan, Kathryn H. Torres, Katherine A. Wheeler and Marisa E. Witter as associates in its Atlanta, Houston and Philadelphia offices. This strategic expansion not only accelerates the firm’s growing reputation but also broadens its reach, allowing it to serve more communities and key industries throughout the country.

Atlanta
Eagan joins the Tax Controversy & Litigation practice group in Atlanta, where he will advise and represent taxpayers before federal, state and local taxing authorities and in all federal and state courts where tax disputes are litigated. He has a wide range of experience, from working with the Department of Justice Civil Division’s Office of Immigration Litigation to working as a summer associate at a large full-service law firm in Birmingham, Alabama. During his time as a law clerk for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Eagan aided in the vetting of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson and then attended the confirmation hearings and Senate vote on her nomination. Eagan earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama; his law degree from The George Washington University School of Law, where he was a merit scholar, senator and chair of the Student Bar Association’s Senate Appointments Committee; and his Master of Laws in taxation from New York University School of Law.
McCaster joins the Corporate, Securities & Finance practice group, also in Atlanta. He has been with the firm since he joined as a clerk in 2022 and became a summer associate in 2023. McCaster will represent financial institutions, borrowers and others in structuring, negotiating and documenting financing transactions, including asset-based lending transactions, project financings, real estate loans and syndicated credit facilities. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgia College & State University, cum laude, where he was on the Dean’s and President’s lists, and his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, cum laude.
Mann works with both the Estate & Income Tax Planning & Estate Administration and Real Estate practice groups in Atlanta. She started with Chamberlain Hrdlicka as a summer associate in 2023, where she completed projects for a variety of practice groups. Prior to her time with Chamberlain, Mann was a judicial intern at the Supreme Court of Georgia. She has experience drafting legal and appellate briefs and conducting legal research on a variety of topics. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, where she was on the Dean’s and President’s lists and was a Zell B. Miller Scholar and HOPE Scholar. Mann earned her law degree from Mercer University School of Law, where she served as Senior Managing Editor of the Mercer Law Review, Volume 75 and President of the Business, Bankruptcy & Tax Law Society.
Houston
Harrigill joins the Tax Controversy & Litigation practice group in Houston. In her role as a summer associate at a New Orleans law firm, she worked with clients on IRS resolution cases and assisted the firm’s accounting and tax services team. A certified public accountant, Harrigill also worked as an audit associate at a Big Four accounting firm, where she audited financial statements and internal controls. She earned her undergraduate degree and a Master of Accounting from Millsaps College, earned her law degree from Tulane University Law School, her Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law and earned her CPA license from the Mississippi State Board of Public Accountancy.
Hollaway joins the Probate & Fiduciary Litigation practice group in Houston. She rejoins us after working as a legal intern last year, drafting pleadings and research memorandums for legal issues related to probate litigation. Hollaway was a clinic student at a tax dispute resolution clinic, where she assisted clients in their tax disputes with the IRS. She has additional legal internship experience under the Judge Christopher A. dos Santos, where she observed pre-trial criminal hearings and drafted Bond Revocation Orders. She earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University, summa cum laude, and her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law, magna cum laude.
Swaminathan joins the Commercial Litigation practice group in the Houston office. She returns to Chamberlain after her summer associate position in 2023, where she drafted jury charges, briefs, and research memorandums. Swaminathan also worked as a summer associate at an intellectual property boutique firm in 2022, where she drafted motions and wrote demand letters to infringing companies. She will also draw on her experience as a litigation legal assistant, where she provided technical, analytical and clerical support. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, summa cum laude, and received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Torres joins the Estate & Income Tax Planning & Estate Administration practice group in Houston. Prior to joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka, Torres was an associate at an estate planning firm, where she worked in the tax and estate planning practice advising clients on estate and trust administration strategies and implementing complex estate plans for high-net-worth clients. A CPA, Torres previously was a tax associate at a Houston accounting firm, where she prepared federal and state tax returns and drafted research memorandums on tax compliance matters. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio and her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law.
Witter joins the Commercial Litigation practice group in Houston. Previously she was an attorney at an Am Law 100 firm, where she handled a range of complex commercial litigation disputes. Witter has an extensive background in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing investigations through trial. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association and Association for Corporate Growth Young ACG network, North Texas Chapter. Witter earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business, magna cum laude, and her law degree from Tulane University Law School, where she was a legal scholarship recipient.
Philadelphia
Wheeler joins the Tax Controversy & Litigation practice group in Philadelphia. Before joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka, she held her clerkship at the United States Tax Court, where she drafted substantive orders and opinions on various issues. Wheeler was also a student attorney at a Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she responded to IRS notices, attended trial sessions and filed petitions. Additionally, Wheeler draws on her experience as an international tax and transaction services extern at a large accounting firm. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, cum laude, where she was on the Dean’s List and a member of the Tax Law Society. Wheeler earned her Master of Laws in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
