A recent Law360 article discusses the addition of two seasoned tax attorneys in Houston and Atlanta.

Ryan Carlock joined as a shareholder in the firm’s Tax Planning & Business Transactions, Estate & Income Tax Planning & Estate Administration, and Corporate, Securities & Finance practices in Houston. He will focus his practice on tax and corporate matters, including the formation and governance of business entities, corporate reorganizations and restructuring, and recapitalization of LLCs, corporations, partnerships, and professional entities. He also brings significant experience in estate and trust planning, frequently assisting family-owned and closely held businesses with their business succession plans. Prior to joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka, he spent ten years with a boutique business and estate planning firm in Houston.

"We warmly welcome Ryan to the Chamberlain Hrdlicka family," said our managing shareholder Larry Campagna. "His extensive experience as a tax and corporate attorney make him a tremendous asset to our growing tax, estate planning and corporate teams, which provide sophisticated tax and legal solutions for our clients."

Sean Gannon joined the firm's Atlanta tax controversy practice as senior counsel, where he will advise and represent taxpayers before federal, state and local taxing authorities and in all federal and state courts where tax disputes are litigated. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 12 years managing the tax controversy practice at KPMG. He was also a special trial attorney with the IRS' Office of Chief Counsel. He told Law360 that the ability to get back into the courtroom and lead trial teams as well as existing relationships with our attorneys were behind his decision to join.

"We are committed to continuing the growth of our Atlanta office in 2023 and we are proud that Sean has joined our team," noted John Hackney, shareholder in our Atlanta Tax Controversy practice. "His extensive experience with federal taxation controversies and his knowledge of the issues that can develop within the industry will help.”
