Jeff Luechtefeld New Hire Announcement Shared in Atlanta Journal-Constitution and Daily Report
In the Sunday print edition, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shared the news of Jeff Luechtefeld's recent arrival to Chamberlain Hrdlicka. The news of his addition to the firm was also shared in the Daily Report’s On the Move column.
Luechtefeld joins the firm’s Tax Controversy & Litigation practice, where he will leverage his extensive technical tax background and deep understanding of the inner workings of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to guide clients through complex tax matters.
Luechtefeld represents clients in IRS examinations, appeals and litigation. Prior to joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka, he led a regional tax controversy practice at KPMG, LLP, utilizing his strategic thinking and negotiation skills to assist clients in resolving disputes within the IRS or before the IRS Office of Appeals.
After launching his career as a litigator with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel, Luechtefeld was appointed as a Special Trial Attorney in the Large Business and International Division, where he advanced critical, sensitive and complex cases before the United States Tax Court.
With prior experience representing the IRS in tax disputes involving matters such as variable prepaid forward contracts, Subpart F income, characterization issues related to aircraft and conservation and façade easement transactions, Luechtefeld has forged a well-rounded set of litigation skills.
Luechtefeld’s client base has included Fortune-listed companies, private equity firms, closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals. He has advised these clients in all aspects of IRS disputes.
Luechtefeld earned his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University, his law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law and his Master of Laws degree from University of Florida Levin College of Law.
