Jaime Vasquez recognized as Lawyer of the Year for 2021 in Tax Litigation and Controversy by US News’ Best Lawyers in America
Jaime Vasquez, a shareholder at Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s San Antonio firm, was recently named Lawyer of the Year for the 2021 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
Vasquez concentrates his practice on federal, state, and international transactional and tax controversy matters. He has counseled clients in civil tax litigation matters, serving as first and second chair in proceedings before the United States Tax Court, United States District Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. He is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Vasquez is also Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has provided defense in criminal tax matters, successfully resolving cases before the IRS Criminal Investigation Division. Vasquez earned his undergraduate degree from University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, his master of accounting from University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, his law degree from University of Texas School of Law, and his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University.
