Interview with Stephanie Friese on “How I Made Office Co-Managing Partner: 'I Traveled a Very Unconventional Path, Never Having Been an Associate at Any Firm”
In an article published on September 16, 2021 on Law.com, Stephanie Friese’s journey to becoming co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Atlanta office is highlighted. She shared that she traveled a very unconventional path, never having been an associate at any firm.
“I started my own firm when I graduated law school, with my father as my mentor and my father-in-law helping me with connections in the real estate community,” explains Friese. “I merged my then-existing practice, which I started building in 1999, with Chamberlain in 2019.”
She further shares she has always been excited about her career from the beginning and that the title hasn’t had anything to do with it. “Each day I am humbled by the trust bestowed upon me by my clients and co-workers,” says Friese. “What gets me out of bed in the morning is the fact that I know people are waiting on me to settle their case or close their deal. I am not sure why I am so blessed with this opportunity to continue to learn, do what I love and work with people that inspire me, but I just keep working as hard as I can to help people accomplish their goals, and that makes me happy.”
