Houston Business Journal 2021 Best Places to Work list includes Chamberlain Hrdlicka
The Houston Business Journal (HBJ) recently selected Chamberlain Hrdlicka for the 2021 Best Places to Work in the large companies’ category. HBJ will celebrate all recipients during a Team Spirit-themed awards luncheon at the Marriott Marquis on November 4, 2021.
“The inclusion of our firm on the Best Places to Work list validates our year-round work to create a great work culture and environment for our people,” said Larry Campagna, managing shareholder for Chamberlain Hrdlicka. “Thanks to our culture of excellence and collaboration and the benefits of our midsize, entrepreneurial structure, we continue to attract and retain exceptional talent by offering our attorneys and staff the opportunity to grow and thrive professionally.”
Earlier this year, the Houston Business Journal also named Chamberlain Hrdlicka among its 2021 Middle Market 50 in recognition of the firm’s growth and selected its managing shareholder, Larry Campagna, among the 2021 Most Admired CEOs. Becoming managing shareholder just three months before the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Campagna worked tirelessly to make sure the firm and its people stayed safe and were able to work remotely. As a result of his leadership, decisive actions, and strategic vision, the firm has not only retained its employees but also added about 20 new attorneys in Houston since January 2020. Seeing rapidly-changing client needs, the firm also added an experienced bankruptcy litigator, creating a Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditor Rights practice in response to a spike in bankruptcies. In addition, the firm launched a PPP Loans & Investigations Practice in anticipation of companies struggling with loan forgiveness process, as well as adding to the firm’s Data Security & Privacy and Technology & IP Transactions practices.
HBJ’s Best Places to Work List is based on employee surveys by Quantum Workplace. All employees at nominated companies were given the opportunity to take a confidential survey online, evaluating their companies in areas such as goals and leadership, communication and support, advancement opportunity and skill development, recognition and compensation, tolerance and flexibility, and embracing innovation and ideas.
