Juristat’s Top Patent Firms ranks Chamberlain Hrdlicka for second year in a row
Chamberlain Hrdlicka has for the second year in a row been ranked among Top Patent Firms by Juristat, in the Technology Center 2100 category, which encompasses patent applications relating to computer architecture and information security. The firm was among only eight firms to place among top ten in more than one criterion, having ranked first in the average office actions before allowance and placing fourth in the allowance rate rank, resulting in the overall second place on the Juristat Ranking.
“We appreciate Juristat for creating an objective ranking, allowing technology companies select the best patent law firms to protect their products and services,” said Aly Dossa, chair of the Intellectual Property practice at Chamberlain Hrdlicka. “With decades of experience in patent law and deep technical backgrounds, our patent team understands our clients’ legal and business challenges as well as the technology behind their products and services, allowing us to develop and implement effective IP protection strategies, from idea to implementation.”
Juristat’s rankings are based on its database of more than 10 million pending, abandoned, and granted patent applications, enabling an objective analysis of the performance of every law firm practicing within the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). For each technology center, Juristat identifies the top firms in each of three criteria – allowance rate, average office actions before allowance, and volume of applications filed. Firms are ranked on each of those three key metrics, as well as receive the overall ranking – the Juristat Rank, calculated by taking into account the firm’s rank for key metrics, as well as rewarding firms who ranked in more than one category, to reflect which firms have the most well-rounded performance in each tech center.
“These rankings represent the best of the best, and Chamberlain Hrdlicka is one of those firms. Companies looking for both experience and expertise should rely on performance data like this to drive their choice in legal partner.” – Danielle Hohmeier, Director of Marketing, Juristat.
Juristat’s analysis was conducted between December 2022 - February 2023, and analyzed public applications disposed (or in the case of the first metric, applications filed) between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2020. To qualify for inclusion, a firm must have filed a minimum of 100 applications in the respective tech center during that time period, ensuring each firm has extensive experience in that technology center and provides an appropriate-sized dataset the evaluate performance metrics. For the analysis, Juristat attributed applications to the firm listed on the application at the time of disposition. It also excluded foreign priority applications and design applications from this analysis.
