Chamberlain Hrdlicka has been ranked among Top Patent Firms by Juristat, in the Technology Center 2100 category, which encompasses patent applications relating to computer architecture and information security, from companies such as Dell, IBM, Microsoft, and Intel. The firm was among only eight firms to place among top ten in more than one criterion, having ranked first in the average office actions before allowance and placing seventh in the allowance rate rank, resulting in the overall third place on the Juristat Rank.

Juristat’s rankings are based on its database of more than 10 million pending, abandoned, and granted patent applications, enabling an objective analysis of the performance of every law firm practicing within the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). For each technology center, Juristat identifies the top firms in each of three criteria – allowance rate, average office actions before allowance, and volume of applications filed. Firms are ranked on each of those three key metrics, as well as receive the overall ranking – the Juristat Rank, calculated by taking into account the firm’s rank for key metrics, as well as rewarding firms who ranked in more than one category, to reflect which firms have the most well-rounded performance in each tech center.

The analysis for TC 2100 was conducted in December 2021, and analyzed public applications disposed (or in the case of the first metric, applications filed) between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019. To qualify for inclusion, a firm must have filed a minimum of 100 applications in the tech center during that time period, to ensure extensive experience in that technology center and an appropriate-sized dataset the evaluate performance metrics.
