Brittney Williams recognized by The National Black Lawyers for fourth consecutive year
Brittney Williams, senior associate in Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Labor & Employment practice, has been recognized among The National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 Under 40 in Texas for the fourth consecutive year.
The National Black Lawyers (“NBL”) was created to celebrate legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable its members to maintain their status as leaders. NBL’s Top 40 Under 40 includes the most talented Black attorneys from each state or region who are under the age of 40. NBL rigorously vets each potential member based on the following criteria: their outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary, and the public; notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer; nominations from leading lawyers, current members, and Executive Committee members; leadership and membership in other national and state specialty lawyer organizations; and rankings and ratings by leading national evaluation organizations.
Brittney practices labor & employment law, and commercial litigation. She advises and represents employers in various types of employment disputes involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and employment-related contracts. Additionally, she represents clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including claims of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, misrepresentation, Deceptive Trade Practices Act violations, and Texas Uniform Trade Secrets Act violations.
Brittney graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Red McCombs School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science from the College of Communication, where she was an honors student and was included on the Dean’s List. While at UT, she also studied abroad at the ESCP-EAP European School of Management in Paris, France. Brittney earned her law degree at UCLA School of Law. While in law school, she served as the Co-Chair of UCLA’s Black Law Students Association. She also served as the Co-Chair of Public Counsel CARES (Connecting Angelenos to Resources and Essential Services) / GRAP (General Relief Advocacy Program) in UCLA’s Legal Clinic. Brittney has been recognized by The National Black Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 from 2020 to 2023, Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch in 2023 and 2024, and Super Lawyers: Texas Rising Star in 2022 and 2023.
