Hispanic Bar Association of Houston Names Diana Gomez Trailblazer of the Year
Chamberlain Hrdlicka Shareholder Diana Gomez was named the Trailblazer of the Year by the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston (HisBA) at their 36th Annual Gala held on May 3, 2024 at Omni Houston Hotel.
The award recognizes Gomez’s outstanding leadership to blaze a trail for the next generation of attorneys in the legal profession. She has championed several initiatives in her numerous roles with professional and civic organizations. Diana has also made contributions to the legal community throughout her career, especially in her role as the first Latina president of the 153-year-old Houston Bar Association for the 2023/2024 bar year.
Gomez has also blazed trails within Chamberlain Hrdlicka, serving on the firm’s Board of Directors, as the national co-chair for the labor and employment practice, as well as the national chair for the Pro Bono Committee.
“Diana has been a long-time member of the HisBA family and has positively impacted the lives of so many in Houston’s Hispanic/Latine legal community. Having served on HisBA’s board of directors since 2006 and as a past President in the 2008/2009 bar year, she has been a personal role model of mine since I was a paralegal in 2007-2008 and admired her from a distance. Recognizing Diana for her countless accomplishments and commitment to our community has been the highlight of my time as HisBA President” said Rocio Guadalupe Mendoza, this year’s President of HisBA.
