Kevin Johnson joins Atlanta Office as Senior Counsel in the Tax Controversy & Litigation Practice Group
Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce the addition of Kevin Johnson to its Atlanta office. Johnson joins as senior counsel in the Tax Controversy & Litigation practice group, where he will advise and represent taxpayers before federal, state and local taxing authorities and in all federal and state courts where tax disputes are litigated.
Johnson rejoins our firm to focus his practice on tax controversy law. He has extensive experience in representing clients in civil audits, administrative appeals and litigation. Johnson began his career working at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a revenue agent and with IRS appeals. Prior to joining Chamberlain Hrdlicka, Johnson was a senior trial attorney at a tax controversy and litigation boutique, where he litigated syndicated conservation easement transactions. He was also a partner of the tax department separately at a large national law firm and another large regional law firm based out of Philadelphia. He is a member of the ABA Tax Section, Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel and previously served as chair of the Administrative Practice Committee of the ABA Tax Section and member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Tax Council.
Johnson earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University, his law degree from Columbia University Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and his Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University Law School.
