Jim Berry and Frank Gruen have been elected to serve three-year terms on the Houston Golf Association Board of Directors. They replace Herschel Sikes and Ted McElroy, who completed their terms.
Berry, a member since 1997, is a Shareholder in the law firm of Chamberlain Hrdlicka. His areas of practice are Business and Commercial Law with a specialization in Commercial Real Estate Law. He has served as Chairman of the Legal Committee from 2001 until present. Berry also is Vice Chair of the Shell Houston Open Hospitality Committee.
Gruen, a member since 2003, is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Friedkin Companies, Inc. He is a member of The Friedkin Companies’ Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Gruen is also a member of the Board of Directors and an officer in most of the Friedkin family’s companies and is the Trustee of various family trusts. Mr. Gruen is principally responsible for all finance, accounting and planning for the Friedkin family. He has worked on the Marshal Committee and Information Center Shell Houston Open committees.
