Philadelphia tax attorney Stewart M. Weintraub to chair ABA/IPT seminars

Stewart M. Weintraub, a shareholder in the Philadelphia office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka, will help lead advanced state and local tax seminars co-sponsored by the American Bar Association (ABA) Tax Section and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). Weintraub is the overall chair of the ABA/IPT Advanced Seminars.
Weintraub will moderate “When to Settle – Audit Strategies to Avoid Litigation” and “Payments in Lieu of Taxes by Nonprofit Organizations: Fiscal and Political Issues.” He also will take part in a roundtable discussing multi-state property tax updates in several key states including California, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas, and the impact of these developments in other states.
Since his admission to the bar in 1971, Weintraub has focused his law practice upon state and local taxation, helping clients plan and structure transactions so that all state and local tax obligations are minimized. From audits through trials and appeals to the appellate courts, Weintraub represents clients in all aspects of state and local tax compliance and litigation.
