Chamberlain Hrdlicka Shareholder Philip Karter and Senior Counsel Stewart M. Weintraub Named to 2026 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers List

Chamberlain Hrdlicka is pleased to announce that Shareholder Philip Karter Senior Counsel Stewart M. Weintraub have been named to the 2026 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list, recognizing their excellence and leadership in the legal profession.

Karter was recognized for his work in tax controversy and litigation and has been named to the list for the sixth consecutive year since 2021. Weintraub was recognized for his work in state and local tax controversy and planning and has now been named to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list for the 23rd consecutive year, having earned recognition annually since 2004. Both attorneys are based in the firm’s Philadelphia office and have built distinguished practices representing clients in complex, high-stakes matters.

Karter focuses his practice on federal tax controversy and litigation, bringing more than 40 years of experience handling complex tax disputes in U.S. district courts, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and multiple U.S. Court of Appeals. His extensive trial experience and background working both for and against the government provide valuable insight into structuring and documenting transactions to minimize tax disputes and successfully withstand IRS scrutiny when challenges arise.

Weintraub counsels businesses, partnerships, and individuals on a broad range of state and local tax controversies and planning matters. He is widely known for his depth of experience in tax litigation and his strategic guidance on sophisticated tax issues.
