Houston – January 31, 2025 Tara LeDay, associate in Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Creditor Rights practice, has been named a finalist for the 1st Annual Women of Wilco Awards by the Williamson County Chamber of Commerce. Winners will be announced during the Women of Wilco Business Awards 2025 event on March 6, 2025, at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center.
The Women of Wilco Awards recognize inspiring women in business for their leadership and contributions to the Williamson County community. Finalists were selected by the Williamson County Women of Wilco committee, based on factors including career advancement, professional success, business leadership, and community involvement. Up to ten outstanding candidates will be named the 2025 Women of Wilco winners.
LeDay is a commercial litigator specializing in restructuring, creditors’ rights, collections, and bankruptcy. With a nationwide practice, she represents bankruptcy trustees, creditors, and corporate and high-net-worth debtors. She regularly handles high-profile bankruptcy matters, including first-day cash collateral disputes, plan negotiations, utility motions, and adequate protection issues. She defends creditors' contract rights during sales processes, protects clients facing assumption or rejection of leases in bankruptcy, defends preference actions, asserts reclamation claims, 503(b)(9) claims, administrative claims, and routines claims, including defending objections, and represents other creditors seeking to understand the bankruptcy process.
In recognition of her professional accomplishments and community involvement, LeDay was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America (2025), recognized among The National Black Lawyers’ Top 40 under 40 in Texas (2024), and named “Top Lawyer" by the Houstonia Magazine (2022).
