Cassandra M. Capote is a Partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Financial Services Practice Group. 

Cassandra focuses her practice on advising domestic and foreign financial institutions on international and domestic commercial financing and acquisition transactions and complex regulatory compliance matters. She routinely represents domestic and international banks, broker-dealers and investment advisory firms in a wide variety of financing and acquisition transactions, anti-money laundering compliance issues, and regulatory and corporate matters. She has also advised and assisted clients in forming newly established regulated financial institutions.

As part of her regulatory and compliance practice, Cassandra routinely advises clients on cutting edge developments of federal and state legislation, including Florida’s Fair Access laws (Florida H.B. 3 and H.B. 989) and Florida’s Protection of Specified Adults Statute (Florida S.B. 556).
