Shutts & Bowen LLP is proud to announce Tampa Partner and Chair of the firm’s Construction Practice, Timothy D. Woodward, has been named the “2026 Construction Trailblazer” honoree at the Florida Legal Awards, presented by the Daily Business Review.

Timothy is the inaugural recipient of this newly established category, underscoring his exceptional impact on the construction law landscape. In 2025, he led a nationally ranked team to secure numerous major victories for the firm. A Board Certified specialist, Timothy is widely recognized for his strategic leadership and deep mastery of Florida-specific construction law.

Also in attendance were Francis E. “Frank” Rodríguez, Chair of the firm’s Executive Committee and a member of the Tax and International Law Practice Group; Martha Rabbitt, a partner in the firm’s Miami and Jacksonville offices and “Best Mentors” award finalist; and Emma G. According to the award program, the Construction Trailblazer category specifically highlights attorneys whose work has directly influenced the success of major construction projects, including new developments, large-scale renovations, and complex infrastructure matters, through landmark litigation results, negotiated deals, or innovative legal strategies that advance project completion and mitigate risk.
