Participating as a sponsor and competitor, Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office recently attended the Hillsborough County Bar Association (HCBA) 17th Annual 5K Pro Bono River Run and 22nd Annual Judicial Food Festival. The 5K River Run and Food Festival was held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, and supports pro bono legal services in Hillsborough County, encouraging the pledging and performance of pro bono service from runners and walkers participating in the 5K race.
Before the Food Festival began, Ella Shenhav participated in the 5K race with her daughter and husband.
The Food Festival immediately followed the 5K, featuring law firms, sponsors, legal organizations, and judges in competing tents. More than 400 people attended the food festival, with judges voting on winners for best food, drink, dessert, and theme. The Shutts team was comprised of Tampa attorneys Amanda Buffinton, Eric Adams, Ella Shenhav, Melodie Khosrovani, Melina Khosrovani, Elise Engle, Bridget Dennis, Leila Oberschall, Allison Laudadio, Ryan Ricca and Samuel Moore, as well as staff member Anne Kufro. The team worked in collaboration to plan, organize, and execute the team’s dessert entry, and the day-of event décor. Shutts & Bowen’s booth featured a “Beyond a Reasonable Dirt – Preponderance of the Pudding” theme, serving their first-place award-winning dessert, Oreo dirt cakes.

The Hillsborough County Bar Association is one of the largest voluntary bar associations in Florida with a membership close to 3,500 attorneys, judges, and legal professionals who share a mission to inspire and promote respect for the law and the justice system through service to the legal profession and the community.
