This holiday season, Shutts & Bowen LLP demonstrated a commitment to community service by organizing firmwide toy drives to support children and families in need across Florida. All eight of the Shutts offices participated through monetary donations and by collecting new, unwrapped toys to benefit the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program.
Toys for Tots has a long-standing mission of spreading Christmas joy and delivering a message of hope to underprivileged children by providing gifts during the holiday season. Through the generosity of Shutts’ attorneys and staff, the firm helped ensure that children in local communities could experience the excitement and warmth of the holidays.

In addition to the firmwide Toys for Tots initiative, the Orlando office expanded its charitable efforts by supporting the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida’s Angel Tree Program. The Angel Tree program allows donors to “adopt” a Club in need by purchasing gifts that meet their specific wishes, helping children whose families may otherwise struggle during the holidays. Karen Wankelman, a partner in the Orlando office and board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, facilitated the Angel Tree donation drive, coordinating efforts to ensure gifts were collected and delivered in time for the season.
Through these combined efforts, Shutts continued the tradition of giving back, reinforcing the firm’s dedication to making a positive impact in the communities it serves, especially during the holiday season.
