Shutts & Bowen LLP is pleased to announce that Eric S. Adams and Paul J. Scheck have been named to leadership roles within their practices as Practice Group Leaders (PGLs). Paul and Eric will assist in the management and oversight of their respective practice groups.

Eric Adams, a partner in the Tampa office, has been named Co-Chair of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Eric focuses his practice on litigation involving business disputes, construction, trusts and estates, real estate, and intellectual property. He represents business clients in cases involving business torts, director and officer liability, insurance disputes, Florida and federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act, and Florida and federal False Claims Act (FCA). Eric will lead the group alongside Steven M. Ebner, a partner in the Miami office.

Paul Scheck, a partner in the Orlando office, has been named Chair of the Labor and Employment Practice Group. Paul has worked with employers and human resources professionals for more than 30 years, and has assisted them through many labor and employment challenges, from corporate policies to wage and hour matters, non-compete claims to discrimination and harassment cases, ADA Title II accessibility claims to unfair labor practice charges.  With a sole focus on representing management, Paul is thoroughly familiar with the employment issues that arise in day-to-day operations.
