Established in 1967, Bay Area Legal Services provides free civil legal services to financially disadvantaged Tampa Bay area residents in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee and Sarasota counties. In 2024 alone, Bay Area Legal services helped over 13,000 individuals, families and community groups. Shutts & Bowen’s donations to the organization were honored with the “Sustaining Law Firm” recognition, helping to fund a pathway to justice in a time where the demand for services is increasing.
