Samendio Mathieu, an attorney in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, has been named Co-Chair of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Basic Skills Courses (CLE) Committee.
The Florida Bar YLD Basic Skills Courses (CLE) Committee is responsible for organizing and administering the mandatory basic legal education courses for newly admitted attorneys in Florida. As Co-Chair of the committee, Samendio will facilitate the courses designed to assist new lawyers in developing essential skills and knowledge for the successful transition to legal practice.

Samendio L. Mathieu is an Associate in the Orlando office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. Samendio focuses his practice on complex matters related to business and commercial litigation, representing clients across a broad range of industries to offer effective and expeditious dispute resolution strategies. Samendio’s experience also includes matters involving property damage, premises liability and various tort claims. Prior to law school, Samendio was a microbiologist for a biopharmaceutical drug company that developed and manufactured specialty plasma derived products for the treatment of rare conditions.
