
Ryan Reinert, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, recently presented at the 2026 Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar, speaking on a panel regarding the process for preparing for trial in bankruptcy court.
The 50th annual seminar, jointly presented by the Stetson University College of Law and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), was held February 25-26, 2026, at the Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown.
Ryan, who serves on the Advisory Board for the Alexander L. Paskay Memorial Bankruptcy Seminar, spoke on the panel titled, “Consumer Concurrent: Countdown to Trial.” The panel provided practical insights into common trial issues, focusing on useful tips, best practices and common problems met in trials in bankruptcy court. Ryan and his co-panelists also addressed key financial issues and factors facing practitioners. Selections to the Advisory Board are made with input from judges of the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, including the Paskay Seminar Judicial Co-Chairs.
A memorial CLE program honoring the lifetime achievements of the late Bankruptcy Judge Alexander L. Paskay, the seminar features prominent regional and national speakers, including 10 regional bankruptcy judges, to discuss current commercial and consumer bankruptcy issues. Ryan C. Reinert is a partner in Shutts & Bowen’s Tampa office, where he is a member of the Creditors’ Rights/Bankruptcy Practice Group. Ryan is a business bankruptcy practitioner board certified by the American Board of Certification, representing lenders, trustees and creditor committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. He has represented commercial and individual lenders in federal and state courts, including traditional, pooled, joint venture and CMBS loans. Ryan has also represented asset purchasers, landlords, trade creditors and contractors in business bankruptcy and liquidation cases.
