Mark Thomson, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Orlando office, recently participated with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department as a volunteer for their 2025 “Shop With A Cop” event.
During the annual holiday shopping event, children in need received a $100 gift card to shop at Wal-Mart thanks to a generous donation from the Orange County Sheriff's Advisory Council. Mark, who serves as a Deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, volunteered his time alongside other Central Florida Deputies for the third year in a row at the event. Each deputy was matched with a child, who they guided around the store as the children shopped for themselves (and most often their families).
The deputies filled the Saturday morning with holiday spirit, helping each of the 250 kids choose the perfect gifts and teaming up with Santa Claus to spread holiday joy.
