Linda Jorge Carbone Serves as a Judge for Operation Homefront’s 2025 Military Child of the Year Awards

Shutts & Bowen LLP Tampa partner Linda Jorge Carbone recently served as volunteer judge for the Operation Homefront 2025 Military Child of the Year Awards.

As a judge, Linda helped determine the final rankings for the national award. The recipients were given their award at the 17th Annual Military Child of the Year Awards Gala in Arlington, Va., on April 10, 2025. Each of the seven award recipients received a $10,000 grant, a laptop, and other donated gifts.

According to Operation Homefront, the Military Child of the Year Award reflects the positive impact that the young individuals have made on their military families, the schools they attend and their communities. The annual awards recognize outstanding young individuals between 13 and 18 years old. Award recipients represent a branch of the armed forces for their scholarship, volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life.
