Brian Paul Featured in First-Gen Law Podcast

Shutts & Bowen LLP Tampa Intellectual Property attorney Brian Paul was recently interviewed for an episode of the First-Gen Law Podcast on January 14, 2026.

During the episode, Brian spoke about his background in STEM and how he is leveraging his knowledge for success in intellectual property law. When talking about his experience at Stetson Law, Brian discussed how his undergraduate studies in biomedical sciences led him to focus on intellectual property law, due to the knowledge overlap. He also shared what it was like sitting for two bar exams, the Florida Bar exam and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Bar exam.

At the end of the episode, Brian discussed the importance of building a legal career as a first-generation attorney that is sustainable and allows you to be in a position to grow with experience.
