Bernie Pastor, a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, was selected to deliver the closing argument faculty demonstration at The Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section’s Advanced Trial Advocacy Course, held May 26–30, at St. Thomas University College of Law. Bernie has served on the faculty for the seminar for several years, helping train trial lawyers participating in the program.

The Advanced Trial Advocacy Course is an intensive four-day interactive trial training seminar designed to enhance courtroom advocacy skills through hands-on instruction and practical exercises. Sponsored by The Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section, the program brings together experienced judges and trial attorneys from across the state to provide advanced advocacy training to over 50 attorney participants.

About Bernard “Bernie” Pastor

Bernie Pastor is a partner in the Miami office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where he is a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group. A Florida Bar Board-Certified expert in Civil Trial Law with extensive first-chair experience in federal and state courts, Bernie focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. He has managed and tried a wide range of matters, including civil rights, wrongful death, tort, and commercial disputes. A seasoned trial attorney, he has successfully tried to verdict nearly 30 federal and state jury trials and has handled numerous appeals and oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
