Andrew McLaughlin, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, recently spoke during the 2025 Tampa Bay Healthcare & Retirement Plan Summit at the Centre Club – Tampa on May 20, 2025.

During his presentation, Andrew discussed recent developments with the Department of Labor and current litigation trends affecting benefits plans. Key points of his presentation included fiduciary considerations related to the use of AI in benefit plans, recent decisions relating to litigation of investment performance and service provider fees, and Department of Labor priorities including missing participants and cybersecurity.
