Alyssa Cory Re-Appointed to The Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee

Alyssa Cory, a partner in Shutts & Bowen LLP’s Tampa office, was recently re-appointed to The Florida Bar’s Appellate Court Rules Committee, where she serves as Chair of the General Practice Subcommittee.  

The Appellate Court Rules Committee was established to consider rule proposals and amendments to the Florida Rules of Appellate Procedure.  The Committee is composed of attorneys and judges with extensive experience and training in appellate practice. Alyssa has been serving on the committee since 2022 and will continue her service for an additional three-year term.

Alyssa L. Cory is a Partner in the Tampa office of Shutts & Bowen LLP, where she is a member of the Appellate Practice Group. Alyssa handles appeals and civil litigation support in a variety of cases in federal and state courts. Her practice covers complex commercial and business appeals, including appeals in all six Florida District Courts of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She assists clients with trial preservation, and developing and framing key legal arguments.
