Overview
Sabrina Buendia is an associate in the Public Law and Real Estate Department where she advises public agencies on a wide array of real property-related issues.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Richards, Watson & Gershon, Sabrina worked with public school districts, community college districts, and other public entities on business, facilities, and real estate matters. This included advising clients on public procurement and competitive bidding requirements, real property disposition and acquisition, and contract negotiation for various transactions. Sabrina also assisted clients with investigations, construction delay litigation, and litigation to enforce stop payment notice claims.
In law school, Sabrina was an editor for the Business Law Journal and a member of the Family Protection and Legal Assistance clinic. Sabrina began working closely with public entities as a legal intern for Los Angeles Unified School District, where she supported the Office of General Counsel in all stages of certificated and classified dismissals. Sabrina then served on a clinic assisting the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (now the Civil Rights Department), where she investigated claims of employment discrimination.
