Priyanka Timblo Receives Bloomberg Law’s Unrivaled Litigators Award

06.25.2025

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP partner Priyanka Timblo has been named to Bloomberg Law’s first-ever Unrivaled Litigators award, which honors top trial lawyers who lead the legal industry in high-stakes and impactful trials. She is one of only 32 lawyers selected nationwide.

Priyanka was honored for securing two significant trial wins in the past two years alone. In the first, she won a $101 million jury verdict against Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, in an extraordinary 10-day trial with 14 witnesses that centered around Walmart’s wrongful cancellation of its contract to purchase more than $500 million in personal protective equipment, or “PPE,” in the midst of the pandemic. Priyanka, along with HSG partner Brendon DeMay, served as trial counsel to plaintiff London Luxury in the case, which was tried in Walmart’s hometown in the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. She was named Am Law’s Litigator of the Week for the victory.

In the second, she secured a $69.8 million award as co-lead counsel to an investment fund against former hedge fund billionaire Philip Falcone. Representing Melody Business Finance, she took the direct examination of the key witness at the damages inquest, where the eight-figure award gave her client 99% of the maximum amount it sought in its complaint.

Priyanka also serves as co-lead trial counsel for videogame company Valve Corporation, defending against mass arbitrations brought under U.S. antitrust laws.

Priyanka’s Q&A – where she discusses keys to winning over a jury or a judge, her trial strategy in the win against Walmart, and when she first knew she wanted to be a trial lawyer – was featured in Bloomberg Law here.
