07.28.2025

New York—Holwell Shuster & Goldberg LLP partners Dorit Ungar Black and Vincent Levy have been recognized in Lawdragon’s 2025 Lawdragon Leading Global Litigators guide. This highly selective list recognizes the litigators handling the most consequential cross-border disputes and international arbitrations around the world.

Dorit and Vincent are widely recognized for their expertise in high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes, with decades of combined experience representing sovereigns, state-owned entities, multinational corporations, and investment funds in international arbitration and complex litigation.

Among her recent notable matters, Dorit is counsel to Air India in litigation involving the enforcement of arbitral awards issued against the Republic of India, and represented AIMCo, an investment fund owned by a foreign sovereign, and Wells Fargo, as a securities intermediary, as plaintiffs in nine-figure, innovative “cost of insurance” litigation. Dorit has also represented clients in AAA/ICDR and ICC arbitrations, including most recently an Indian pharmaceutical company in a royalty dispute arbitration and a Japanese pharmaceutical company in an arbitration arising from its acquisition of a Mexican company of pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter products.

Vincent has handled numerous transnational litigation and arbitration proceedings, including under the auspices of the LCIA and ICC. He has argued twice before the United States Supreme Court, including this past term in Waetzig v. Halliburton, in which he secured a unanimous win. He has also represented holders of sovereign debt in litigation against Venezuela, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guatemala, and Argentina.
